MEETING OF 29TH JUNE
In President Jeff's absence overseas, PP Ric chaired the meeting of the month and welcomed  a small but distinguished group of members.

Lionel T reported that a record number of 102 photographs had been submitted for the calendar competition.  The judging panel had selected the 13 photographs needed for the calendar.

Alan W had attended the Woombye Sunrise Changeover.

Jim A confirmed the roster for parking at Muscle on the Mountain on 3 July.

Bernice said that she would circulate a request for S/S duty on 16 July.

With a great flourish, John McL introduced our surprise Guest Speaker David Fraser who had arrived with a Power Point presentation and had got the projector to work without the usual problems. David's talk was on "This is my life".

After completing his education, in 1973 he started working at the CSR plant in Ipswich manufacturing Masonite boards.  His initial role was in maintenance engineering but moved to production management and was appointed Factory Manager from 1991-1993.  He resigned when the company policy for cost cutting changed from enhancing efficiency to reducing the skilled labour force.

In 1993 he purchased 208 acres in Corks Pocket Road, Reesville.  He ran a herd of 20 Droughtmasters and set about designing and building cabins in an ecologically friendly environment.  This was named Fraser's Selection and was so successful that he won the Sunshine Coast Tourism Award for 3 consecutive years.

By 2007 he was looking for something different. Fraser's Selection was sold and David and his "cousin" spent 3 years doing relief accomodation work.  As this became less enjoyable, they decided to retire and David resumed his membership of our Club.

Keith R thanked David for his talk and congratulated him on being so prepared at such short notice.

NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT
50 SHADES OF GOLF

Four guys have been going on the same golfing trip to St Andrews for many years.

Two days before the group is to leave, Jack's wife puts her foot down and tells him he isn't going.

Jack's mates are very upset that he can't go, but what can they do.

Two days later, the three get to St Andrews only to find Jack sitting at the bar with four drinks set up!

"Wow, Jack, how long have you been here, and how did you talk your missus into letting you go?"

"Well, I've been here since last night..

Yesterday evening, I was sitting in my living room chair and my wife came up behind me and put her hands over my eyes and asked, 'Guess who?" I pulled her hands off, and there she was, wearing a nightie.

She took my hand and pulled me into our bedroom. The room had candles and rose petals all over. Well she's been reading ”50 Shades of Grey”.....

On the bed she had handcuffs, and ropes! She told me to tie her up and cuff her to the bed, so I did.

And then she said, "Do whatever you want."

So--- Here I am!
