MEETING OF 6TH JANUARY
First meeting of 2016 opened by President Jeff.

Mike G gave a brief overview of an International Assembly with incoming District Presidents and all Rotary hierarchy. Sherryl told of the procedure of  swapping presents and shopping for Rotary paraphernalia.

The main item of the evening was the re-induction of PP Roly Nieper OAM accompanied by his wife Kerry. Roly gave a short speech afterwards identifying the pressures on him at the time of his withdrawal or resignation from Rotary five years ago.

Welcome back Roly and Kerry.

The meal was followed by an absolutely scintillating fines session by Sergeant Chris - (maybe worth a fine? Ed). All fines had at least a modicum of truth.  Instead of Heads and Tails, there was a Cash Card with Bill Hankinson being the winner.

Reports from various directors:

Rick Vickers..Calendar sales going quite well.

Rick Townsend..BBQ Cooks required for 23rd January at Maleny Historical Village.

Chris Brooker..Parking duties at MDSRC Australia Day at Showgrounds Jim A as co-ordinator. Attendants required with names to Jim. This time is a free service.

And as Mike had lost the guest speakers, we all went home early.

NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT
A POSSIBLY BIASED INSIGHT ON RELATIVE BEHAVIOUR

Proof that Australian Men Have Better Friends...

Friendship among Women:
A woman didn't come home one night. The next morning she told her husband that she had slept over at a friend's house. The man called his wife's 10 best friends. None of them knew anything about it.

Friendship among Men:
A man didn't come home one night. The next morning he told his wife that he had slept over at a friend's house. The woman called her husband's 10 best friends.

Eight confirmed that he had slept over, and two said he was still there.
