MEETING OF 18TH MAY
Pres Jeff welcomed all and introduced guest speaker Charone Shatki, Stargazer Astrologer.
He then (bravely working through his man flu) read some news on the perils of being famous on Facebook after an own goal on selfies – all good news (forever!!). More news on the advert in MDS&RC newsletter. Jeff will also be the guest speaker at the upcoming Senior Citizens meeting.
Chris B spoke about the recent events, especially the monies raised by the Bar team at USC. Well done all. Then about upcoming events, especially parking atthe cross country and the Muscle on the Mountain.
Alan W spoke about the highlights at the PEP meeting in Kingaroy, including marketing, branding monies to RI etc and asked all to fill in the evaluationsheet on the meeting (Did you all complete it?). Perhaps we should use the guest speaker summary to let the public know about what happens at meetings.
Chris B fined most of us for various dubious crimes and some that defied fantasy land. Cross fines also topped up the coffers.
Meal over, Malcolm B introduced our guest speaker Chirone Shatki. Her intent is to shine a light and bring insight to a person’s potential and life (I think). She spoke about the methods of consultancy (in person or by Skype) and how she looks at the timing of events based on your birth date, time and location. Apparently all factors and special events in the universe are influenced by this reference point.
Chirone playfully took us through our sun and moon signs to describe the relevant probable personality types. Much nodding of heads ensued (or was it shaking of heads?).
Rick V thanked her for her thoughtful and informative presentation and, by way of thanks, presented her with the best-selling Rotary’s Humanity in Motion and our world famous (already seen in Tokyo and Miami) shopping bag.
Pres Jeff concluded with thanks our guest speaker, reminding all to drive home safely and of the project meeting next week at 5.30 pm for drinks at Masonic Hall. Guaranteed to be home for 7 pm.

NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT
AN "IF ONLY" WISH FROM MOST PENSIONERS
DIFFICULT TIMES ON A POLITICIAN'S PENSION?
I’ve been affected by the financial situation which we all are going through.
Just like you, I am struggling hard to keep going.
I only buy rotting cheese
And dry meat
I drink old wines.
My car has no roof.
My bathtub is outside.
WHAT A SITUATION!
But here we are still coping and struggling.
WE MUST ENDURE
Soon things will improve.
WE’LL JUST HAVE TO SUFFER A LITTLE LONGER.
