PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Welcome to everyone and I hope your year has started extremely well. Not much to say at this point. I look forward to seeing you again next Wednesday back at the hotel for our first Business Meeting of the year. We’ve got our visiting Rotary member Kim McDonald-Wilkes from Newfoundland filling us in with some language tips for when you visit there. It’ll probably be Kim’s last meeting with us they are moving to Brisbane for work reasons.

Our first 5th Wednesday of the year is 31 January. So, it’s a vocational night and we’ve had a bit of a change from what we originally planned. Craig has asked Rodney Millett from Maleny and Hinterland Real Estate to give us an update on the local property market and values. We’ll meet at their office at Riverside Centre and he has a large office, so there will be plenty of space inside.

After that we will have dinner at the Maleny Hotel bistro.

LAST MEETING OF 2023
Thanks to the generosity and catering skills of Roly and Kerry Neiper, members and associates of the Club enjoyed a memorable Christmas Party at their home in Reesville. The food was great and the attendees had a wonderful time,  A special voe of thanks to our hosts and their helpers.

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT
CELIBACY?

Celibacy can be a life style choice or a condition imposed by circumstances.
Whilst attending a Marriage Weekend, my wife and I listened to the instructor declare "It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other."

He then addressed the men "Can you name and describe your wife's favourite flower?"

I leaned over, touched my wife's hand gently and whispered "White Wings Self Raising. isn't it?"

And thus began my life of Celibacy!
